Our Plug Me In division focuses on providing innovative renewable energy solutions, including commercial solar, EV charging, and heating systems. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services that meet the evolving needs of our clients and contribute to a sustainable world.

 

We are looking for a strategic and commercially focused Head of Product Management & Pricing to lead the development and performance of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for driving revenue and margin growth by shaping our proposition across key markets. This includes owning the commercial performance of the business, developing and evolving pricing strategies and models, and ensuring continuous product improvement through structured road mapping. You’ll act as a key link between internal teams and external stakeholders, clearly communicating product vision, updates, and performance to support lead generation, sales success, and customer alignment.

 

Location: Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week in our Manchester office

Type: Fixed Term Contract for 9-months

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday)

Salary: £75,000 per annum pro rata + 10% bonus

 

Qualifications

  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field – or equivalent experience – is desirable but not essential.

 

Experience & Knowledge

  • Extensive experience in product management with a proven track record of managing and scaling products in relevant industries
  • Strong background in pricing, strategy, or financial analysis, with experience developing and implementing effective pricing strategies
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts such as margin optimisation, profitability analysis, and revenue forecasting
  • In-depth knowledge of various pricing models (e.g., dynamic, tiered, subscription-based, cost-plus, value-based) and the ability to apply the right model based on business goals and market dynamics
  • Solid grasp of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing product teams and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, engineering, and other business units
  • Proficient in using product management and pricing tools to support decision-making and performance tracking

 

Technical & Behavioural Competencies 

  • Strong market and customer focus, with a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and product performance evaluation
  • Proven problem-solving ability, particularly in addressing complex pricing challenges and product-related issues
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar tools for building models, analysing pricing data, and generating reports
  • Results-oriented mindset, focused on achieving measurable outcomes such as revenue growth and margin improvement
  • High adaptability, comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adjusting strategies in response to market changes
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and align senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across departments including sales, marketing, engineering, and finance
  • Confident decision-maker, capable of balancing short-term commercial pressures with long-term strategic goals—even amid uncertainty
