About the Role

As our SHEQ and Support Services Manager, you’ll act as the primary source of day‑to‑day SHEQ advice while supporting wider business operations. You will work closely with leaders, site teams, and partners to embed a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislation, ISO standards, customer expectations, and Calisen Group governance.

You’ll also contribute to emergency planning, support continuous improvement, and help strengthen our risk management and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a positive, proactive SHEQ culture across PMI Solar.
  • Support implementation and governance of SHEQ standards, including audit, inspection, KPI reporting, CRM systems, and ISO requirements.
  • Oversee risk assessment processes and develop SHEQ policies, manuals, RAMS, and controls for PV, battery, and associated technologies.
  • Ensure training needs are identified, delivered, and accurately recorded.
  • Work with Field and Operations teams to maintain robust and practical risk assessments and working documentation.
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive business risk management framework (SHEQ, commercial, people, etc.).
  • Support business services including fleet and property management.
  • Lead incident response, investigations, reporting, and business continuity planning

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong SHEQ expertise, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to influence across all levels of the organisation.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge

  • NEBOSH Certificate (IOSH membership)
  • CDM training (Principal Designer/Contractor)
  • Environmental qualification (IOSH/ISEP/IEMA)
  • SHEQ audit qualification (BSI or similar)
  • Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation, SSIP, CDM, operational controls, CRM/digital platforms

Essential Experience

  • Extensive experience in a HSE management role
  • Experience working on construction‑related projects (including work at height)
  • Experience supporting or leading SHEQ audits and inspections
  • Experience in RAMS development, incident investigations, safety forums, training delivery, and supporting business change/technology projects

Key Competencies

  • Ability to interpret complex documentation and simplify into accessible business processes
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Confident working on‑site, including at height
  • Detail‑driven and data‑minded
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and common safety platforms (e.g., Safety Culture, Work Wallet)
  • Calm under pressure, personable, adaptable, and solutions‑focused
